Right now, chaos-wringing experimental hardcore punks Show Me The Body are in the thick of a new album cycle, with Alone Together arriving early next month. The dudes who’ve produced the most recent albums by Geese and Robyn both had their hands on the knobs inside the trio’s Corpus studio in New York City on this turn, with the end game of the pop-centric producers being to bring into focus what Show Me The Body does best.

So far, that’s been their ability to make aggression go in several different directions. We’ve already heard two sides of that coin in the body movement-inducing “Dance In The USA” and the danger-chasing “No God”. Its latest preview, “Eat for Peace”, adds another dimension. It’s a compelling fight anthem that feasts full-on in protector mode. “What kind of shit will you eat for peace? / Fuck who stands between you and me!,” Julian Cashwan Pratt assails over a tough-as-nails riff knockdown.

In news that should surprise no one, the band has also announced a fall tour that’s typically amazing in its curation of openers. You’ve got the Bangkok hardcore heavyweights Whispers (whose drummer just took a hiatus from the band to become a monk,) Baltimore scene ETHEREAL chasers (and makers of one of last year’s best hardcore albums) Jivebomb, Western Massachusetts screamocore next gens (and recent BuzzSound) Holder, and a couple of big city dates with hardcore electronic punks Lip Critic.
