Through a lot of blood, sweat, grit, and gas mileage, HAYWIRE have gone from Boston DIY hardcore scene darlings to the potential next big thing in rock music with news that they’ve signed with Roadrunner Records for the release of their sophomore effort, I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye. Good for them, and even better that it sounds like they fully understand the assignment that goes along with the bigger platform.

While the hardcore oi punk revivalism of their early work has demonstrated their reverence for their scene’s roots, first single “INTERSTATE LOVE AFFAIR” and now, its latest preview “SINCERELY YOURS”, are putting everyone on notice that they plan on swinging for the Green Monster with what they’ve got cooking. The band’s meatheaded front in their sound is still puffing its tatted chest out, but between some shellacked refinements in production by Citizen’s Mat Karekes and doubling down on anthems to rage away the pain to, we’ve now got ourselves two heater in a row from the 617 crew that will help some kid drown his anxieties and survive life’s car crashes to once he gets a hold of them, if they haven’t already.
