There is nothing to fear but NAILS itself. Three years removed from the crusty, heavy hardcore band’s last release in their firmly combustible fourth full-length effort, Every Burning Bridge, the seminal Oxnard force born from the electrical ashes of Carry On and Terror guitarist Todd Jones has returned in its latest iteration and news that they’ve signed with Closed Casket Activities for whatever awaits in our future from the trio.

For starters, “Fear Based Life” — one of two tracks from a new 7″ single from the band — hits you harder with their new reality. It’s a filthy onslaught of borderline pigfuckery and even harder truths hurled at those pathetic figures who feel the need to weaponize intimidation in order to control the narrative. “Too much is never enough for you / Entitlement is your living truth,” scathes Jones over a grinding recoil. “Ruminate in a mental hell / You think you hurt me, you only fucking hurt yourself.” Tell me when he’s telling lies.
