We’ve been getting to know the sweet longings of Touch Girl Apple Blossom’s melancholic touch through the vocal eyes of Olivia Garner in the ellipses of “The Springtime Reminds Me Of…” and the tears shed from “Vacation” memories past in a sunny spangle of punky indie-pop, “I’m Lucky I Found You” narrates the Austin band’s lovelorn journeys from a different perspective. Bassist Dustin Pilkington takes the heart’s lead here on the latest preview from the quartet’s upcoming debut album, Graceful, and in stitching previous narratives together with the seasons passing, this time around, the summer gently bursts through the door with much more fortune on their side. “It’s finally happened and my heart / It said something that I don’t understand,” he proclaims over symphonic power-pop balladeering. The love is blinding even with sunglasses on.
