Restorations – “Cured”

Restorations have been rocking the scene for well over a decade now, but we’re going on six years removed since their last album in 2018’s LP5000. With “Cured”, the lead single off their forthcoming self-titled effort, the Philadelphia post-hardcore punks remind us how just how relentless they are in writing big, meat-and-potato-based riff-pile-ons that only resound louder upon these kind of returns. “God only answers to say ‘no’ / The quiet so loud / When you open your mouth / Time only answers to say ‘go’,” guitarist Jon Loudin’s voice reaches soaring altitudes right off the top like being hit in a head-on collision with a gravel truck, as guitarist Dave Klyman, bassist Dan Zimmerman, guitarist and keyist Bean Friend (keys/guitars), and drummer Jeff Meyers further heavy through any outside opposition in anthem. To their credit, time not only marches on with them, but crashes through, too.

Restorations’ Restorations will be released March 22nd.
