Full Blown Meltdown – “No One Cares”

At the end of his breakthrough debut (and one of the year’s best albums) Mollify, Full Blown Meltdown’s Will Green leaves this disaster we call life on the thought of a climactic emo-punk epitaph for the future entitled “No One Cares”. Like the rest of everything that preludes it, it’s pure chaos fused through the trauma overload in brain synapses of Will Green, and yet, somewhere in that nihilism is a form of freedom to just do whatever the fuck you want considering just how fucked we are. To an extent, that’s the jumping point for the album’s accompanying visuals. Directed by Alan Bryan and Mason Edmunds, the video sees Green strolling down the street minding his own goddamn business before being kidnapped and taken hostage in a rental van. Shit luck you might say, but in a cosmic twist of fate, the end-motives of his captors play out in his favor anyway. It’s something to ponder the next time you see your mind giving way to negative fantasy…
