Embla Bára – “Waiting for the Sun”

Embla Bára’s primary gig is a makeup artist and stylist who occasionally creates music with her husband who happens to be a bit more seasoned in the scene, as he is former YVETTE drummer, producer, and Tower of Light label head, Dale Eisinger. With her debut single, “Waiting for the Sun”, the pair usher in the era of the niche nepo wife in making her over as a reverse vampiric raver. Eisinger’s production emits a strobing, bass-heavy Euro-house projection effect smattered with grotesque electronica as Bara’s vocals mutate between pitch-tuned distortions and whispers from the supernatural beyond. It’s dark dance music made to combat the nightfall and levitate with the new day for anyone who describes themselves as beyond human.
