Upon pressing play on “The Angel”, the latest single from Jersey experimental electronic artist Corey Mastrangelo, it may all happen under a blanket of a meteor shower spectacle. Mastrangelo’s technique, built around adding extra tingles to your insides through a sensory explosion of starry-eyed romantic gazing over bedroom emo guitar chords and hyper-kinetic synth-pop transmitted at lightspeed from FM radio waves, offers its own form of warmth, seemingly from the night sky. Look around you, though, and the celestial event is radiating from inside.
