EXCIDE – “Flip”

After an EP, two singles, and a three-track LP promo earlier this summer, torrential Carolina post-hardcore five-piece EXCIDE are ready to fire with the release of their debut full-length, Deliberate Revolver. The two non-remix tracks from that promo are there, and so is this new one, “Flip.” The listen is a peak sonic showcase in how the band is prismatic in hardened form: a worship of ‘90s alternative-era anthemic influences like living legends Quicksand with a new age reverence akin to modern grungebearers Narrow Head, but also the ability to fly out of corners unseen like their peers Knocked Loose and Vein.fm do. It’s those deeply melodic grooves between the rumble that turns a familiar energy into its own colossal intent, however.

EXCIDE’s Deliberate Revolver will be released September 23rd on New Morality Zine.
