Suitor – “Dull Customer”

There’s nothing lacking in the creative sell of Suitor’s “Dull Customer”. Perfectly glum without necessarily needing be two-dimensional, the muted colorwaves moving through the Cleveland post-punk band’s second preview offer another morbid curiosity to submerge your head into leading into their forthcoming album, Saw You Out With the Weeds. In contrast to the ultraviolet hiss of its lead single, “Factory”, the listen wonders a world of sound where the stark goth of Siouxie, the shadowy melancholia of Til Tuesday, and degradated pop of Sweeping Promises (whose Caufield Schnug and Lira Mondal produced the surrounding sonic matter) converge on the same timeline, giving release to new kind of energy orb in the post-punk spectrum where the sinking feeling of despondency is available like a limited batch, made all the sweeter because of its unique formula.

Suitor’s Saw You Out with the Weeds will be released March 20th on Feel It Records.
