“Pain is A Must” is the sixth(!) and final preview from Angel Du$t’s new album and first since jumping onto the Run for Cover Records roster, COLD 2 THE TOUCH. If the album wasn’t actually pure fire, these pages probably would have stopped writing about every song in advance of its release this Friday by now, but Justice Tripp and company have been proving over and over again why they’re a hardcore band with an unsatiable desire to not only reinvent their own sound, but the shape of the scene every two-step of the way.

For this one, they’re joined by Scott Vogel of bruiserweights, TERROR, for a death-defying, deep-grooved shimmy through the pit filled surreal imagery about the blood-soaked face of Jesus Christ and broken-hearted songbirds who share the same name as Tripp. This is probably what taking shrooms after being dumped and heading out to a hardcore show sounds like. Its black light visuals directed by Noah Haycock only punctuate that. Everything about this is a must. Watch and listen below…
