COMMITMENT are a pseudo supergroup on their own distinct terms. Frontwoman Tati Salazar typically isn’t heard screaming her brains out in hardcore bands, as she makes dreamy indie-folk music under her own accord as Le Siren. You know Pierce Jordan already, who here takes a step back from the front of Soul Glo to play drums, while guitarist Jake Smith and bassist Zach Bailey play in or have played in Philly DIY scene bands like Eye Flys, Backslider, and Penetrode.
Together, they’ve joined the increasingly righteously, pissed off-sounding roster of Get Better Records for their debut album, Fear Of, coming out this spring. “DOG POUND”, its lead single, only douses more fuel onto the existing dumpster fire of our everyday existence by turning the tables and making man their bitch. Through a violently fast onslaught of not-so-veiled threats of neutering, this one shows its teeth and bites back rabidly. Plenty of people out there better be thanking whatever god they believe that this is only art…
COMMITMENT’s Fear Of will be released April 3rd on Get Better Records.
