These pages literally just posted up what was thought to be the latest and greatest golden track for a minute from GUV’s new one, Warmer Than Gold, but foolish to think this album rollout would slow its momentum during this first week of the New Year when you’ve got prolific punk publicist and musician in his own right in dazy’s James Goodson powering up the buzz behind it.
That’s fitting in the case of “Chasin’ Luv”, because it’s a much welcome turn away from the Brit-pop-on-acid reappropriation of the the album’s earliest singles, as this one reacquaints listeners with Ben Cook’s paisley power-pop past — here, stepping to with a bit more vigor, yet neery a spec of dust being kicked up with it. It let’s the listen shine to the fullest and in turn, provides a much needed lovelorn dopamine hit that thinks birds and bees and prism hues during these traditionally blue, gray winter months.
