SPEED – “PEACE”

SPEED have been putting in the reps ever since they broke through the hardcore scene back in 2022, and it’s not just reflecting in their gains. Last year was a big one for the Australian band behind the release of their listmaking debut full-length, ONLY ONE MODE, and a relentless touring schedule at bat that saw them opening for the likes of Knocked Loose, being a human highlight reel in mosh form from the Coachella stage, and setting out on their first headlining tour here in the U.S.

They haven’t stopped since, with their next round live having just kicked off as part of Turnstile’s huge NEVER ENOUGH tour across North America, and they’re coming in hot and loaded with new music in tow, too. ALL MY ANGELS is a new three-track EP set for release later this October, and first single “PEACE” shows just how well-oiled of a muscle mass machine the Sydney powerhouse gang have become in their refinement of their very hard hardcore craft. Just because it sounds hard doesn’t mean it’s all tough guy theatrics, though, with vocalist Jem Siow sewing introspection on real life grief and loss. It sounds like something you’d deadlift 500 lbs. of cinder to with ease while working out your heaviest emotions. See you at the gym, bro, indeed…
