It’s okay. You’re allowed to still have fun with music even if the world around us burning to ground. Spiritual Cramp are the kind of band you’ll want to have a blast with for these end times anyhow, as hedonism is their calling card and writing rowdy garage punk anthems to soundtrack them is how they stay ahead of the dread. With “Young Offenders”, the San Francisco band offer up a fitting tribute to their stomping grounds where every day is the best night of their lives. They’re going out dressed in a fiercely expensive fit complete with white shoes and blue jeans that when paired with riffs amped on on energy drinks and keys burning a new wave, it’s built to run the gamut all around the city until the sun comes up. Or is that an atomic bomb on the horizon? Whatever the case, who cares if you’ve got the ones you love by your side to make that last memory with.
