Every day of our existence is a deathmatch, be it against the powers that be, the structures that oppress us, or merely the bad actors around us who make the pure plight of building connection in our lives so much more harder than they should be because of their own slimy, selfish motivations. On “Optical Delusions”, Baltimore wreckers End It take up the fight against these barriers — not with fists, but rather a fast fury of words, grizzled riffs, and a slight metallic edge to grind their axe right up against their foes. “I was searching for community / You’re only here for the outfits!,” Akil Godsey condemns the grift. Safe from a spin-kick or two tailored for the pit (while being mindful of you surroundings, of course…) and End It submit the enemy with just a choice blow to the ego.
