Expose – “The Constant”

Expose cite themselves as peers to Los Angeles DIY scene experimental rockers like bondo and Monde UFO, and with “Speed Dial”, the thrashing, cacophanous lead single off their forthcoming debut album, ETC, you could easily hear where their they’ve let loose on embracing their freakier noisenik potentials. This only makes the LP’s latest preview, “The Constant”, all the more curious to process, as it’s a natural reaction from its predecessors uninhibited kinetics, with it slowly pushes its way into the fold and pulling you under its crashing tow of psychedelic post-punk entanglements. The energy is indeed constant, though unhurried to the point where the more that its electrical currents swirl around you, the less clear any semblance of directional gravity becomes to distinguish in the haze of noise. You just know that they’re falling into it.

Expose’s ETC will be released January 24th on Quindi Records.
