“My tongue couldn’t lift the compliments / But that’s all people want / No deep dives / Into shallow minds,” Patrick Kindlon hails with no cautions on “Chow”. The latest preview from his post-hardcore alternative’s forthcoming effort, PRUDE, presents the quandary with characteristic Kindlon verbosity, yet there’s something telling of his war of words in this current state that add up differently. Who could have predicted that the rabble-rousing provocateur leading with eccentricities and unpredictably forward on Self Defense Family’s niche art-core pretentions would soon be leading the charge of a band that’s only growing in allegiance by the masses, channeling those same statements in big, dumb rocks that chomp down even harder? He and Drug Church have really figured out how to make biting your tongue all the more easy to digest…
Drug Church’s PRUDE will be released October 4th on Pure Noise Records.
