Every day, we are are seemingly in a battle with everything just to exist. Ourselves. Our thoughts. A world that is constantly at odds with the betterment of everyone. It’s firing in all direction. On their promising latest single, “Sea of War”, the Burlington four-piece Robber Robber place themselves at the center of this, condensing the internal panic attack of it all within their propulsive, percussive fits of indie rock. “Unsteady on the edge and falling in / Unsure if I remember how to swim,” sings vocalist and rhythm guitarist Nina Cates, her voice blurring into the constant stimulation of motion. To find stability in it all is to win the war, and to win the war, self-preservation is a necessity.
