Artistically, that statement checks out in its offering to the alter that the Los Angeles songwriter is in a being of transformation leading into the release of her new Dave Sitek-produced album. Joining early singles “Dusk” and “Whispers In The Echo Chamber”, the listen furthers what’s billowing from within her inner spiritual craft down a path of dark, electronic experimentation and gothic trip-hop, coiling in and out, rebuilding what is broken, and dissolving before reinforcing every particle by particle. She’s reborn at the end of the light.
