While his former band Title Fight will forever be tied to their Kingston, PA stomping grounds, Glitterer has been a nomadic existence for Ned Russin ever since he started working on the project back in 2017. Everything is starting to feel more rooted now, however, building up toward the release of Rationale, Glitterer’s fourth full-length and first as a fully-fleshed band, with its second preview “Just A Place” pondering just as Russin has made habit to existentially ponder through his songs on what it means to have a home, and making amends with where he came from as his life moves onward through spangled, wistful guitar-pop that looks back on those old haunts with a new found appreciation. “I can’t take another road / I only know the way one way / And that’s the way that I came from,” he sings, as if to do his most to defy everything Thomas Wolfe wrote.
Glitterer’s Rationale will be released February 23rd on ANTI- Records.
