It’s a love story as old as time. Two spirits, and nothing will stop them from being together. “I’ll Find You”, the latest single from Fuming Mouth’s anticipated sophomore effort, Last Day of Sun, is adorned with the kind of title you would expect to be some kind of stern warning in threatening fashion given the Massachusetts hardcore band’s salivates an extreme aggression in what they do. Instead, even in its heavyweight of chugging riffs and stomping over mountains with gravity-defying melody in spite of that against its resistance, the hunger Mark Whelan has is that love, barreling through any and all obstacles standing between him and the person he loves. “You’re the only thing that matters to me in this place of madness and disaster / Here and after, I will always find you first.” Maybe it goes hard on the unhinged, but really, he and Fuming Mouth are just channeling the same energy as Beyoncé did, for the pit.
