It’s said that love is patient, and for Faye Webster, it comes in all ways on a “Lifetime”. While the art of the slowburn is something she executed all too well throughout her 2021 effort, I Know I’m Funny haha, the latest single from the Atlanta songwriter achieves a different approach to being unhurried as it’s fully in the moment with that bliss, not looking to make any second pass any soon. “Every minute / You are in it / In a lifetime / No conversation / I get you, verbatim,” she sings adoringly over a simmer of guitar and cool bass to the one who came into her life. You could say she transcends patience, stopping time altogether when her love’s in her thoughts.
