Broken Vow – “Reversal”

Destruction meets an equal force of resistance on Broken Vow’s “Reversal”, the latest highlight from the New England hardcore band’s forthcoming debut full-length (and first since signing to Triple B Records,) Anthropocene. The five-piece of vocalist Tommy Harte, guitarists Harrison Sacco and Evan Stein, bassist Olin May, and drummer Max Holsbeke are a different animal in all the fury that is the scene’s politically-charged rage, with their energy entirely consumed by the current environmental crisis. On “Reversal”, it’s an intense urging to everyone on this planet to reassess their spiritual reconnection with Mother Earth. “When will this end?,” Harte screams out before the breakdown, brandishing a heavy-lifting weight to the underlying melodic call to action that takes up the plight of climate-conscious bands like Earth Crisis and Undying that shakes you with force with this reminder: What we destroy will ultimately destroy us, too.

Broken Vow’s Anthropocene will be released September 29th on Triple B Records.
