Temple of Angels – “(For You) I’d Lose It All”

Making their way through the dizzying spells of loss and the lingering sensation of someone so dearly missed all around you, Temple of Angels ensure that their debut full-length, Endless Pursuit, finds its way back to a form of hope at the end of it all, even if intangible. The album’s closer and latest single, “(For You) I’d Lose It All”, is rapturous even if its reunion is still one that can only happen in some cosmic future outside of this physical plane. Guitarist Avery Burton steps forward from the clouds here, proving that there’s something special going on when touching the magic being made from the Austin dream-punk outfit’s celestial shimmer. “Every night wraps me up like this / Such a strong hold / Closer we keep / More tangled and true / Folding in on parts of you,” he sings, becoming one with the most powerful elements and bringing vivid emotions into focus in much the same way Bre Morell has as well. The sensation feels so pure, and yet rests on the other side of wherever we are now, begging the question: If it meant disappearing here today, would you go there?

Temple of Angels’ Endless Pursuit will be released July 8th on Run for Cover Records.
