It’s wedding season. It’s graduation season. It’s baby shower and baby making season. It’s the season of change for so many out out there. And guess what? All those big plans and new chapters they’ve been focusing on are about to be fucked, with we as a human species only having ourselves to blame. “No Convenient Apocalypse”, the first new music from Pissed Jeans since releasing the consistently good societal damage that was 2017′s Why Love Now, want you to know that the rapture’s accountability rests on all of us. Blistered by Matt Korvette’s caustic tongue, the Philly noise punks unleash a devastating reality check through their sludgy four horsemen pile-on. “Now we’re gonna have to soak in what we created / Too bad!,” he exclaims. “There’s no simple Armageddon / No easy way out / We can’t just write it all off, throw up our hands and pout.” So save the date. If you want to reclaim the future, then get ready to solve much bigger problems than those petty first world ones.
Pissed Jeans’ “No Convenient Apocalypse” single is available now on Sub Pop.
