SPY – “Big Guy”

To counteract a bully, you need an equal or larger sized bully to intimate them out of the picture. SPY are that counteractive force on “Big Guy”, the lead single from the Bay Area band’s much anticipated debut full-length, Satisfaction. It’s a slurry of beefcake hardcore meeting a bastion of brutalism there in its bottomless pit, with Peter Pawlak’s vocals smearing saliva across a blur of bodyslams and head rippers before cornering itself into a final round of death blows during its breakdown. Let’s go out on a limb and safely assume that whoever “Big Guy” is aimed at, they’re someone unsavory walking through this life thinking they were mighty tough. And then they met SPY, an absolute brick wall of metaphorical muscle, standing straight in their path, eviscerating them into nothing but a pile of entrails.

SPY’s Satisfaction will be released June 2nd on Triple B Records.
