Bruiser and Bicycle – “Superdealer”

It’s not totally clear where Bruiser and Bicycle are venturing to on “Superdealer”, and by what means, at that, but the second preview from the acerbic Albany freak-folk pop band’s upcoming full-length, Holy Red Wagon, is very much the kind of sensory adventure that takes hold of the psyche and transcends the physical spaces which exist around us. Frenzied acoustic guitars and synth orbs doubling as supernatural arms, the listen lyrically paces itself like a levitating trip without the influence of anything beyond wonder without ever leaving the ground. “Into the ceiling l, I looked at your feelings, I saw / You were not there, you were barely aware of the dark / Ran towards the cellar, I’m itching for out there, I fought / Hands on the outside, I heard you were one to get caught.” When two minds connect as they do here, it sounds just as this does in unlocking portals to another world.
