“When You Say” is a confrontation with the void in all of its stark oblivion which FACS are all too happy to challenge with their malleable wireframe of noisy art rock. In the early moments of the first preview off the Chicago trio’s forthcoming third full-length album, Still Life In Decay, they situate themselves at the threshold between here and after, but it’s only when they delver deeper inside that vacuuous energy where we feel the current of a greater unknown contorting every motion, smashing every preconceived notion of what happens next. Nobody has the answers and it’s beyond delirium.
