What’s exciting to hear in Gish’s possible next steps here for those whose heads were turned by the lo-fi rocker’s meticulous craft of simple shapes since her 2017 breakthrough, No Dogs Allowed, is the way she laces an electrical jaunt around a deprecating, word-packed chorus capturing the moment of witnessing a hot mess through an earworming brain burst that lives rent free from there on out even if you weren’t there to see it for yourself.
