INITIATE are gearing to level up, and level up heavily at that. The SoCal hardcore band, whose last release heard them becoming more muscular in frame on their 2020 extended play, Lavender, previews their anticipated sophomore follow-up with its first single, “Alone At The Bottom”. The track is again more fleshed, hearing the four-piece growing ferociously into a hydrahead of modern melodic hardcore, screamo, and metallic rage. Vocalist Crystal Pak’s growl shreds harder than ever, with sharpened riffs meeting her right at the pit of despair to tear through the demons.
