“Sixteen Ways”, the opening listen to Frankie Rose’s forthcoming fifth full-length effort, Love As Projection, is a negative fantasy vivid in the foreground of this moment through the Brooklyn-based songwriter’s celestialscaped dream-pop. “This is closer than I thought / Six ways I can see / This is strange than I thought / Sixteen ways it could fall apart,” she sings. Her words layered through dimensions transcend rippling fever dreams into a crystal clear lucidity, and her end vision prophetically will become a form of reality whether it happens or not.
