Jana Horn – “After All This Time”

Whereas her breakthrough debut, Optimism, navigated itself across a spectral space-time continuum and transient places, Jana Horn’s forthcoming sophomore effort, The Window Is the Dream, came to being from within one room. Still, its first impression “After All This Time” threads itself similarly in a strange cosmology within the Texan-born songwriter’s craft, spun here within a Tropicália fever dream and her hushed voice pairing past and present on two different astral planes. “Remembering is not the same / As looking back,” she sings, as if to say that looking outside from the inside is to be in two different worlds at once.

Jana Horn’s The Window Is the Dream will be released April 7th on No Quarter.
