“There Is No Light” is perhaps the last sign of life left in this ecosystem, and one Ibex Clone manifest into being through their own will of cosmic post-punk. “I kept waiting for some vision / To wash over my eyes / Indistinct and getting vaguer / Mind aneasthetized,” guitarist and vocalist George Williford hails into a decaying light as bassist Alec McIntyre and drummer Meredith Lones push demise further out through a sheer refusal to let go in breathing in and out of the lungs of their instruments.
