“I Think I Might Be Weird” doesn’t hold back from what it knows itself to be. As the latest listen from Fucked Up’s written-and-recorded-in-a-day full-length experiment, One Day, it shifts itself from the heady, artsy hardcore that marked a return to form from the Toronto collective on initial previews “Found” and its title track into something that can be more broadly described as Fucked Up as theater: Damian Abraham bellowing sea tales through Mike Haliechuk’s classic rock-addled maelstrom and a jaunty choral breakdown doubling down on its atypical nature. True to name, it’s unlike anything in Fucked Up’s own surroundings.
