MSPAINT feat. Ian Shelton – “Delete It”

“I just want to feel it, not delete it / Something realer and distinguished / I just want to feel more alive,” shouts Deedee on “Delete It”, the lead single from MSPAINT’s proper debut full-length album, Post-American. With the Hattiesburg scene on the rise thanks to bands like theirs as well as the Mall’s out-of-bounds approach to modernizing today’s punk and hardcore aesthetic without guitars, it makes sense that the listen sounds like a death rattle revolting against itself from within your phone screen. Militarie Gun and Regional Justice Center frontman Ian Shelton joins the crew to add a few pointed barks of his own into the content creation-addicted age. “No need to rush yet / Just deconstruct it / I wanna see for myself what I been missing.” As panicked as the effort sounds, what they really all want to be able to take a breath and just be in a moment rather than let a false representation of it become another metric posted up into the void.

MSPAINT’s Post-American will be released March 10th on Convulse Records.
