“Heaven is a place where no one else is,” proclaims Pile frontman Rick Maguire on “Poisons”, the second preview from the Boston noise rockers’ upcoming album, All Fictions. He probably isn’t wrong. Screaming through a turgid mental collapse that feels like being resoundingly stuck in a purgatory between that which makes you feel good but isn’t all that good for you or the boring alternative, he and the band level the brain with an attempted deconstruction of big rocks that only crumble at the foot, leaving you stumped in place.
