“God Is a Circle”, the latest single from Yves Tumor, is a continuation of the path malleable between outer bound currents both electric and synthetic that the Turin-based artist most visibly set forth on 2020′s Heaven to a Tortured Mind and last year’s The Asymptotical World EP. Now made all the more freakier and ghoulish, the listen feels like a sinister spiral as Yves sonically cannibalizes their mind on the love drug. “Loving you, it hurts sometimes / But I can’t help it because it makes me feel alive,” they admit. That higher power is an insatiable hunger capable of devouring the self.
