“Tribe” encroaches upon you in its early seconds with barely enough time to escape before it pummels and snares you. Beyond that point, you’re trapped by the mental fortress Soul Blind pile on around you. “You will suffer again / Until this feeling ends,” sings lead singer Cen on the second preview from the New York-based band’s forthcoming debut album, Feel It All Around. Once inside, the gravity their reverb-rocked, heavy gaze dismantles makes telling up from down impossible, and puts an end far out of sight. This is the sound of hell being unleashed by the mind’s own doing.
