Militarie Gun – “Let Me Be Normal”

You probably already know that All Roads Lead to the Gun, last year’s two-part second and third EPs from Militarie Gun, confirmed that Regional Justice Center frontman Ian Shelton and his melodic hardcore crew were more than just an offshoot, but rather a real aggro force. That hasn’t been missed by the world at large, as they’re now signed to Loma Vista Recordings – making them labelmates to artists like Denzel Curry, Soccer Mommy and Show Me the Body – who are giving the Gun a proper show when it re-releases a compiled deluxe edition later this month. It will feature four new tracks, with “Let Me Be Normal” being one those tracks, and it’s arguably Militarie Gun’s cleanest cut yet. While parts of it rub some inspo off recent collaborators and current tourmates Dazy, the band still lets their fiery freak side rage.
