Recommended Album: High Vis – ‘Blending’

High Vis are a band who are taking on two huge challenges at once, and thriving in the hardship of it at that.

With their sophomore breakthrough effort, Blending, the London quintet continue to sonically merge three opposing lanes of musical styles between a gruff hardcore foundation, the melodicism of Brit pop, and shimmering ‘80s post-punk, all while placing themselves at the center of a collision course with their surrounding socio-political landscape and dealing with your own daily life shit amidst all of it.

Frontman Graham Sayle marches toward the fire with equal eloquence and gruff, backed by guitarists Martin Macnamara and Rob Hammeren, bassist Rob Moss, and drummer Edward ‘Ski’ Harper’s ability to soar his words into anthem or stir up a small frenzy inside the pit. It takes a certain kind of brash bravado to confront what Blending does, and High Vis confidently invite any and all challenges into their art.

Highlights: “Talk for Hours”, “Blending”, “Trauma Bonds”

High Vis’ Blending will be released September 30th on Dais Records.
