Weirder and in their own orbit while still remaining lunged into grungy, shoegazing night terrors of their demo2020 EP, fleshwater – the band which consists of three of Greater Boston metalcore next-gens Vein.fm in vocalist Anthony DiDio, guitarist Jeremy Martin (who switches gear here for the bass) and drummer Matt Wood – emerge from their reverb-drenched entry point with clarity but no less turbulence on “Kiss the Ladder”, the lead single from their forthcoming debut LP, We’re Not Here to Be Loved. Joined by co-vocalist Marisa Shirar of MIRSY, the band’s latest formation further pulls us into their vortex where gravity and heavy particle matter continue building worlds where they can get lost in.
