Birds In Row had been hiding their faces enigmatically in press photos for years, but now we finally get to see them in full view. That’s news in itself, but the French post-hardcore band have also released two new previews from their forthcoming third studio effort, Gris Klein, in equally theatrical performative display through the joint visuals of “Noah” and “Cathedrals”. It fits, as the former listen is a cleaner refinement on the Laval trio’s combustion with vocals toeing in a sung-spoken delivery before boiling over the riff’s ridges and climax before staying there in the latter. It creaties what the band calls a “diptych” between “the seeking of truth and reality, in a collapsing world, and how answering philosophical questions by economical answers is the norm, the getaway” and “the need to reinvent ourselves but also to learn constantly; The need of deconstruction in order to rebuild something more sustainable and fair for all.”

Birds In Row’s Gris Klein will be released October 14th on Red Creek Recordings.
