“System (Failing)” is the sensation of life sucking you straight into a black hole, and with Soul Blind backing the sound behind it, crushing space makes all the more sense. A collision of grungy ‘90s, heavyweighted shoegaze, and a melodic hardcore vortex, the first single from the New York quartet’s debut album, Feel It All Around, hears vocalist and bassist Cen, guitarists Justin Sarica and Finn Lovell, and drummer Steve Hurley staring down oblivion and daring it to rip them apart. Red alerts blaring, Soul Blind still lifts off with all physical laws against them.
