High Vis – “0151″

“With the backdrop of a decade of austerity and neglect, ‘0151’ is a song about the power of collective identity,” High Vis singer Graham Sayle says of the latest preview from the London band’s imminent sophomore effort, Blending. “Written after my uncle passed away during the pandemic, the song was inspired by tales of life as a ship builder and the subsequent decline of the industry in the North of England; a song about the landscape and communities from my formative years and our current socio-economic situation.” Grief and hardship aside, the listen presses the London progressive melodic hardcore band’s Brit-pop edges more heavily into the pit, rising from adversary. “But we’re still here!,” charges Sayle in its final moments, standing firm and tall.

High Vis’ Blending will be released September 30th on Dais Records.
