“Pray for this world / Whatever we get, we fucking deserve!,” shouts Carson Pace in one of the many peak moments throughout “The Elephant Man In the Room”, the final preview off the Callous Daoboys new album, Celebrity Therapist, before it hits (and hard at that) next week. We certainly don’t deserve what the Atlanta collective are providing in excess. Tts short-wired framework of metalcore sparks the theatrical with detours into emocore and a warped choirlike presence. If God is in the room warring with their ideas, then the Callous Daoboys put up an affront with their provocation.
