If you thought letting their foot off the gas pedal would pull back the intensity behind Mindforce’s impact, “Words Fail”, the second preview from the Hudson Valley hardcore band’s sophomore full-length effort, New Lords, will leave you bracing for cover fast. On the heels of the thrashing speed that was its predecessor “Survival Is Vengeance”, this one hears the band corralling the pit with some electric stunners in there. When you think it’s over, methodical brutalism delivers the coup de grâce in axe form.
