“Knees Deep” is a song about wishing you could dive right into the deep end without hesitation, but alas, Elizabeth Stokes’ own second-guessing is what stops her from making a splash like the rest of those other brave souls who don’t let caution get in the way of their intentions. You wouldn’t guess it by the Beths’ jolted pop rip moving throughout the listen, courtesy of the constant electricity of Jonathan Pearce’s guitar line. If playing it safe prevents Stokes from living out loud, it definitely doesn’t show in song…
