Muncie Girls frontwoman Lande Hekt’s forthcoming sophomore effort, House With a View, was deeply inspired by the indoors fraught of pandemic times, but those feelings of isolation and being stirred in stillness can trace themselves universally outward in any instance just as well. “Backstreet Snow” turns to close companionship and small wins to avoid sinking the self into a downward spell. Hekt’s brightly spangled indie-pop deflects the darkness of any kind of outside weather with it. It’s sunny even when a storm comes blowing through.
