“’Cause we’re always / Crawling in monochromatic hallways / Dream we pull a 180 some day,” navel-gazes Alvvays’ Molly Rankin on “Easy On Your Own”, the second preview off the Toronto dream-pop rockers third full-length album, Blue Rev. Now maximized in technicolor sound through soaring anthem and HD production, the band still captures a singular focus of by not letting any of the crushed wooziness of life in a whirl out of their frame. “If you don’t like it / Say it’s over / Weekends alone / Does it get easier on your own?” The next chapter is full of questions, but embraces letting go and moving on like a pro.

Alvvays’ Blue Rev will be released October 7th on Polyvinyl Records.
